We’re getting to know Gary Cain, Director of Reach Commercial Finance, the brokerage division of Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group.
Gary has been leading the team since 2014, and has developed the reputation of Reach across the UK. Recently awarded Factor & Invoice Discounting Broker of the Year at the inaugural NACFB Commercial Broker Awards, Gary and his team are looking ahead to an exciting 2021 – let’s hear more about him outside of the office.
Would you rather go back in time or travel to the future, and why?
I think I would have to go back in time just to remind myself what I did yesterday as my memory is getting worse and worse. Not sure if it is lockdown or my age – but I can guess.
What would your Mastermind specialist subject be?
My specialist subject would have to be my dog Bruno. My head would have fallen off without him last year I must admit! Plus he’s only 10 months old so with my poor memory I don’t have too much to have to remember…
Would you rather have a home by the beach or a place in the mountains?
I would love to live in the Lake District or Anglesey having a simple life, dog walks on the beach, pop down to the pub. Done!
The zombie apocalypse is coming, who are three people you want on your team?
- The bloke off the Walking Dead with the crossbow as he’s great at getting rid of the zombies.
- Jack Whitehall to make us laugh.
- James Martin as no doubt we would need feeding!
What would the title of your autobiography be?

What would you most likely become famous for?
Winning the British GP at Silverstone.
If you had to delete all but three apps from your smartphone, which ones would you keep?
Sky Sports, Whatsapp and Deezer
If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
Flying, I’ve always got a lot going on – more than I have time for so I need to take a few shortcuts!
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I love the gym, looking for golf balls, Man United and of course training baby Bruno.
How would your friends describe you in 3 words?
Thoughtful, sarcastic, driven and good with numbers…
